When a barrel is half full of water, the total weight of the barrel and water is 48 kg.   When the barrel is 1/3 full of water, the total weight of the barrel and water is 39 kg.   What is the weight of the barrel?  Amy has some dolls. If she gets seven more dolls, then she will have 18 dolls in total. How many dolls does Amy have at the start?  Marco is arranging 20 baseball cards on album pages. He puts four baseball cards on each page. How many pages does Marco need?

 

Alina, Blanca, and Carla have some beads. The ratio of the number of beads that Alina has to Blanca is 3 to 7 Blanca and Carla each lose half of their beads. Blanca now has 106 more beads than Carla. At the end there are 304 beads in total.  How many beads did Carla have at the start?
